Payment

I accept cash, checks, Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and all major credit cards as forms of payment.

48-Hour Cancellation Policy

Your session time is held intentionally for you. Because I offer 75-minute and longer appointments and maintain a limited schedule to allow for depth and presence in our work, I ask that you provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

When less than 48 hours’ notice is given, or if an appointment is missed, the full session fee will apply. This allows me to honor the time reserved for you and sustain the structure of the practice.

I understand that unexpected situations can arise. If there is an emergency, please reach out as soon as possible and we can talk through it. My intention is to balance compassion with the commitment we are making to this work together.

Thank you for respecting the time we set aside for your healing.

Insurance and Reimbursements

I do not bill insurance directly due to the nature in which I work in my private practice. My work is intentionally structured around 75-minute and longer sessions, to protect our nervous systems and allow time for expansive and deep work in therapy. Most insurance companies do not reimburse for this length of session. Because of that, I operate as an out-of-network provider and do not directly bill insurance for treatment.

There are meaningful benefits to working privately. Paying out of pocket allows for greater privacy, flexibility, and inner depth. We are not limited by insurance-driven diagnoses, session caps, or treatment constraints. Our work together is guided by what is therapeutically appropriate, not by what an insurance company authorizes.

That said, many insurance companies will reimburse for services with an out-of-network provider. If you have a PPO plan, I can provide you with a “superbill,” which is a detailed receipt that includes the necessary service codes and my license information. You may submit this to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. However, you should know that if you choose to use a “superbill”, I will be required to submit with a diagnosis. Please read more about why you may not want a mental health diagnosis on a “superbill” at this link:

Because every plan is different, I strongly recommend contacting your insurance provider in advance to understand your specific out-of-network benefits. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and varies by plan. I do not communicate with insurance companies regarding my policy of working in extended sessions.

I believe therapy works best when it is spacious, relational, and not rushed , which is why I structure my sessions the way I do. If you have questions about how this works, I’m always happy to talk through them with you.

Good Faith Estimate

Because I offer 75-minute and longer therapy sessions and operate as a private-pay, out-of-network provider, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” outlining the expected cost of your care.

Under federal law, clients who are not using insurance benefits are entitled to a written estimate of anticipated charges before beginning services. If you are choosing to pay privately, I will provide a Good Faith Estimate that reflects the length of your sessions (75 minutes or longer) and the frequency we discuss together.

Your estimate will be based on the treatment plan we outline at the start of our work. Please understand that therapy is a deeply individualized process. The total cost of care depends on your goals, the pace of treatment, and how long we choose to work together. The estimate is not a contract and does not require you to attend a specific number of sessions.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges.

You may request a Good Faith Estimate at any time before or during our work together. I am committed to transparency and want you to feel informed and comfortable about the financial investment in your care.
